Normally I use :) genuinely but in this case it was pretty clear it was an important thing to him to really express proud of your type stuff
Grades are coercive and oppressive and antithetical to true learning, and trying to include psychic rewards as an incentive just serves to entrench and internalize the problem
I understand coming from good place and unreasonable blah blah, this is more just for me to document and express how that comment made me feel lol
