okay what the fuck am i becoming an aristotelian
i've sure been thinking an awful lot about ends lately
its just hard because he got a crazy amount right on really significant methodological points that were later discarded, so its hard not to be impressed
i think i've also just grown up a bit, i'm less prone to being foolishly dismissive, so its one of the first times i've been able to approach him sympathetically. i've also had some exposure to other writers that have warmed me up to him
