i do this thing often where i give all the caveats and counterarguments to my statements before saying the main point and i interpret this behavior as me desperately pleading with anyone listening to not get the perception that i haven't considered them already
this is diminished in text but very pronounced orally, even when im just talking to myself
that latter piece should probably give me pause that my first attribution is a little simplistic. there's also probably an element of "the main thing is boring, let's jump to the interesting things" or wanting to quickly document them before i forget. but it really does throw the flow off
