male upbringing failed me in so many ways; i’m deficient or incompetent at a whole host rather basic skills

in an effort to combat the overwhelming shame and anxiety i feel far too often, i’ve recently decided im going to be more specific in describing situations that make me embarrassed (rather than being avoidant through abstraction).

so while the original post applies to a variety of contexts, right now i have in mind drying my hair too harshly with a towel, which is obviously quite bad for it and makes it look quite unsightly.
