like there just aren’t proper team fights anymore it’s so sad
no staging
no intricate space management
no contestation
required cooldown cycle awareness has dropped tremendously
the stakes feel so low, the level of freedom is precisely the reason it feels so stultifying
fuck 5v5
i could see people disagree with space management/contestation but the thing is: the pace of fights is so fast now, like the entire concept of tempo has been removed. there is no give and take, no trading resources. you either use your cds and win, take the duel and win, or you lose. it’s boring.
it’s a little pathetic to still care but it feels like my ability to problem solve in one of the most rewarding ways has been taken from me. it’ll always hold a special place in my heart for a number of reasons, and it’s crushing that i’ll never experience it again.
