i wish i had access to manuscripts of The Idea of a Critical Theory. Geuss said somewhere that it was endlessly revised and lost a significant amount of length, and it certainly would have benefitted from a less dense presentation
for that matter, i wish we had more historiographical resources for all people, not just philosophers, not just The Important Philosophers. obvious political concerns abound with the implementation of this, but it would be incredibly enlightening
this is part of why i’m so keen on transparently presenting my experiences and interactions to others. if they are so inclined as to be interested, i’d like to offer the tools for them to engage. archival to enable historical insight is one of my most prominent values
if it were possible to strip out all identifiable information (and not reflexively influence future interactions), i’d periodically publically post all my chat logs. i’d like to give password manager access to someone trusted when i die so anyone could see whatever they’d like
my utopian vision for this practice becoming commonplace is somewhat predicated on and somewhat a contribution to the destruction of moralism. we’re all more fucked than we typically care to share - i dream for a world with less thrashing about worthless concerns; compassion with bite
