genuinely tho i do think the trend is a positive in many respects, opening up a space for guys to be more experimental with their presentation in a safe way, given the whole thing is cloaked in irony. very frequently they express serious sentiments of enjoying their appearance
ofc there are a billion problematic things that come along with it, but it’s a neat phenomenon that is emblematic of and a contribution to widening gender norms within patriarchy and i think that’s neat and cute in a relative sense
