it’s extremely daunting to be faced with a world so overwhelmingly hostile to your interests and the only resistive conceptual resources that seem remotely plausible or appealing to most people (including yourself) are obfuscatory and ultimately self-undermining
people are suffering directly right now and are searching for some way to make sense of it and fight back, and the issue seems so pressing that taking a step back and reconsidering the approach doesn’t feel like a viable option to most
