in this context, normie means roughly “someone who earnestly and uncritically believes popular cultural narratives”. at root it’s an epistemic vice of laziness and lack of wisdom in discernment.
there may be explanations for their condition, but the herd have a character defect preventing them from the status of peer in personhood.
