when i get home i can show you what i do, basically there’s a command that make it spin down at start up but it’s still available in the case you want to mount and spin back up
oh actually i have it in my notes:
hdparm -Y /dev/sda

that’s not perfect because it still like starts in the first place but idk another way, and tbh i never notice it
