yea i generally like bruenig for cutting through the bullshit on things like this. not a fan of egalitarianism and “equity” discourse is an odd way to inject mangled contextualism into a moribund project
it’s hard because a lot of the moral and sympathetic intuitions that lead people to be interested in “the left” actually end up being a massive hurdle if you want to make any significant progress, both theoretically and practically
