i'm kinda confused how it appears beneath my post, i got notified, but the root/parent are both the og parent/root? and its like actually an orphan, you can't see it anywhere on the original thread
this is prolly a known thing, and i imagine its related to me using the reply feature to post it, but functionally i kinda still don't get whats going on here
ngl after staring at it for a bit i still don't get it. like yea it's bad we're assuming the post is root here:

but how is the actual root being set as the post_uri in the db? @.@

nvm i’m just stupid and can’t read. the post_uri is fine, it’s just the assumption is bad. super simple fix tho to just grab the root properly from the post since we’re doing a fresh request, i might submit a PR when i have a minute
