what is most important to me is not purity and absolute consistency in action, partly because i don’t see this as possible or desirable in general, but also because with veganism specifically
it is exceptionally challenging to root out consumption of any commodity produced with animal exploitation anywhere in its extensive supply chain, and there are vanishingly small returns from doing so with perfection, both in terms of individual and habitual action.
i have a lot of thoughts but it’s one of the subjects i’m the most reserved about, and i don’t really see that changing any time soon.
