downtown drivers are the petit bourgeois of car owners - only through vulgar sociology can one subsume them into the ranks of the more universal interests of humanity - they have no revolutionary potential whatsoever.

i like how the game theory of driving changes when it’s really snowy out - there’s a lot more solidarity, precarity, attentiveness. the strict rules fall away by necessity and people just have to messily collaborate to make sure no one gets hurt. helps to have a common enemy i suppose.
