downtown drivers are the petit bourgeois of car owners - only through vulgar sociology can one subsume them into the ranks of the more universal interests of humanity - they have no revolutionary potential whatsoever.
astonishing how a relatively marginal disruption in routine can induce such a powerful brechtian estrangement effect and focus one’s attention on the contingency of that which is familiar. it’s wonderfully empowering.
i just searched the word and it seemed like there were a few non-linux results here and there, but overall seems like a good idea. i don’t use feeds much tho so idk
i've never really understood the vitriol people have for hackers - especially ladder kids, like there could literally not be less on the line. in officials its cringe but even then i don't understand why you're so pressed abt it. invasive anti-cheat as a response is far worse.
biases:
- my "fps" game was really a moba
- my role's kits had dmg mitigation
- hardstuck tier 3 warlord
- not a very competitive personality
- linux user ( l o l )
tho if anything t3 shittas should have the most reason to complain. high enough to demand unreal grind and investment, not high enough for cheating to get monitored incredibly closely. also ig if you're a ranked rat and never scrim you don't have the same perspective on how meaningless it is.
such ceaseless toil i am subjected to for the objects of my affection.
once again i am doing laundry for the sake of a girl.
one must imagine sisyphus happy.
i like how the game theory of driving changes when it’s really snowy out - there’s a lot more solidarity, precarity, attentiveness. the strict rules fall away by necessity and people just have to messily collaborate to make sure no one gets hurt. helps to have a common enemy i suppose.
for a brief moment i awoke from a dream and thought it was saturday and now im devastated
i have been reduced to the quintessential boomerpost. its just, the raw time demand is unreal and i hate being alienated from my species-being :c
i'm sad that i only have like a dozen pics from the old days. these are my first two images, wild that they were taken only a year apart. 2018 was crazy.
once again kicking myself for not archiving stream vods or taking more screenshots. some gameplay from my bronze days would be so cool, and now i can't even view the season data in game. sigh.
to all these Arc users finally coming around to vertical tabs: i forgive you for your prior sins and slander in hopes that webdevs are forced to make better UIs for alternative viewports
holy fuck im so stoked the new s2yt release has such a good ubuntu package. theming works, folder drag-drop is fixed, the api is now shockingly fast i have no clue how. good shit 7x11x13, glad ur back
unironically we should approach book evaluations with such irreverence and dismissal more often, especially Great Books™ and Great Authors™. even if it's a work we ultimately admire and we can't sustain the perspective long-term, the process itself usually ends up being rather enlightening.
