i took a class where we spent the entire semester just doing a close reading of the prince with a machiavelli scholar and it was seriously way more fascinating than i thought it would be going in, i hope you get a lot out of it

by meaningfulness do you mean something other than truth-aptness? i feel like the former can get you into more interpretive trouble (are expressions of emotion "meaningless"?) but the latter is a little less spooky (only as spooky as the notion of Truth, which, yknow)
