actually, it’s completely fine to go after “individuals who just happen to work for a company.” it would be perfectly justified to assassinate me for my complicity in my employment if it would further some liberatory cause. only issue here is the motivation being dumb ai art stuff lmao.

oh yea and it’s certainly too late for this but to clarify, that post was from months ago about a completely unrelated subject. i included it to show my position had not changed, and that i don’t exempt myself from even the most extreme application of this principle, under certain conditions.

ngl after seeing what the actual userbase is like, i think it’s basically a worthless endeavor to continue being invested in bsky. i have very little hope left for this project’s success. even if they are successful on their own terms, i think that would be the worst possible outcome.

they have no backbone and are not nearly opinionated enough to do anything besides endlessly appease their users. i used to roll my eyes when people would describe this place as a twitter clone, because it has the potential to be so much more. i was wrong.

i desperately want atproto to work. if it does, it will be from an independent community of intelligent people fighting tooth and nail to use it in ways antithetical to bluesky.

my eyes are wobbly and i should probably be more concerned about that
