If this is the case, what kind of work of art can my life be? Why make the unmotivated leap from "work of art" to "narrative" (that is, a literary work of a particular kind)? Why not turn my life into a statue or an image, a building, a dance, or a work of music? Why can't my life be best represented in the lyric rather than the narrative mode? yea! i’ve definitely been in a similar spot for most of my life. i think i admire it rn because it’s a counter-balance to how eager i am, and it’s reflective of the type of relationship dynamic im most interested in
