# diary willow Will talk about soon maybe willow 12/14/21, 15:16 alright ig im gonna type a bit here before class, i dont feel like doing anything else ok so i went to this meeting and they read aloud a greivance policy draft it was scuffed but w/e fuck it DSA btw after that we designed cookies but they werent vegan so i didnt eat anything and i didnt really want to eat anyway uhhhh frick i forgot the persons name but they were pretty forward socially w me and i got to know them was a girl senior got to know others a bit better too and hung out but i didnt really click with them well a lot of them were already pretty clicky already but there was me, a freshman, and this senior who were kinda quiet normally senior girl was chatting w me lots and made me feel a bit more comfy w stuff she also wanted to attempt to make a gingerbread house w the cookies and that was a lil weird like the idea was cute ig and got everyone involved in an activity so that was fine

Rather, what you should be looking for is locating yourself in your local context and the historically given patchwork of fatherlands and their associated tables of value, while maintaining cognitive distance to all these tables. The best way to do that is to look at your home with the eye of the foreign traveller. Herodotus (and then Herakleitos and Brecht) are better models than Socrates.

The result is that we are bodiless souls for our female friends and soulless flesh for our male lovers. The vertiginous kaleidoscope that was Sidney's mind and discourse was in a way a model of intellectual activity, as a kind of permanent theoretical motion, but I thought it was probably also important to be able to take a snapshot of the provisional results of that activity at some given time and fix it in writing, even if one's thoughts in some sense really had already moved on.
