it’s good to purge the normies as much as possible :)
it’s fun because it’s all automated. vpn into work at the wrong time? not enough active computer hours? automated email to manager. the software we make has a ton of “productivity reporting” and we make sure to use it internally too :)
and then all employees are ranked when it comes to raises
oh i mean they absolutely are, computers are spyware, cameras everywhere, i’ve heard some people get caught in trouble based an image of their license plate, not enough clicks per hour, etc.
but this is just boring old reporting to manager every clock-in and clock-out, plus extra workload
i’m being vague but i’ll just say they were unhappy with the absolute surplus value they were getting out of me 😉
and yeah it sucks
i know it will come as a shock to everyone here, but i am actually not a paragon of bourgeois virtue and my employer was not happy to discover this
now that i’m being monitored so heavily with work hours, im just entertaining myself by solving simple problems in convoluted ways. the data extract was ran with incorrect parameters? sure, i could re-run it correctly, or i could create a convoluted regex replacement to clean it up

in the past two weeks i have become addicted to caffeine. it makes daily life more manageable but also has completely fucked my sleep schedule
