okay i know this wouldnt make a ton of sense, but i can't help but think about how the new denpa-chan coulda been improved with some atproto, and would actually have some pretty interesting app features

i think the interesting parts for me are being an allowlist appview, like you could ignore posts unless they were from an approved did, or posts from an approved did prior to them being approved. "banning" a user just looks like dropping all their posts

yea, you can have an app pds and use invites there but you can also have a separate invite thing from patreon or whatever and people on indie pds can apply. anyone can make a thread and your replies are to them, standard stuff.

if you make a "private" thread its already only private to logged in users, so that's basically the same as no-authenticated. committee moderation tools could be varying levels of on and off protocol, but i think it'd be interesting if they were attempted on-protocol, since they're kinda social too.
